Arrive In Paris
Arrive in Paris on your own. In the afternoon, you’ll meet your tour leader, Kate, and fellow travelers for a quick meeting before getting your first taste of the city over dinner at a local restaurant.
The day has arrived to discover the best chocolate spots in Paris. In the morning, we’ll go for a walk along the Right Bank of the Seine to discover some of the most famous places around Madelaine Church. We’ll learn about, and more importantly, taste the different chocolates and sweets from these delicious Chocolateries. Then, we’ll take a break to enjoy lunch together before continuing our chocolate explorations in St Germain des Pres.
Now that we’ve learned about chocolate, it’s time to dive in and become chocolatiers ourselves by making some of the most famous bonbons – Ferrero Roche. After this tasty workshop, we’ll unwind together over a tea or better yet, a hot chocolate!
Enjoy a free day in Paris to explore all the city has to offer.
Paris - Lyon
Today, we’ll hop aboard the high-speed train to Lyon. The city has developed a reputation as the gastronomy capital in France and we’ll get a taste for why that is over the next few days. Once we arrive, we’ll venture to one of the best chocolateries in the city – Bernachon. We’ll experience the traditional Bernachon taste before our relaxing lunch in their restaurant.
In the morning, we’ll head outside of Lyon to the world-renowned chocolate factory – Valrhona. We’ll have one of the most interesting menus of our trip during our masterclass where we’ll see how cacao is used not only in sweets but to create a variety of different dishes. While devouring chocolate is the perfect way to spend a day, this area is also known for wine. So, we’ll make sure to expand our palate in the stunning wine country before heading back to the city for our last dinner together at a local restaurant.
Say goodbye to your new friends and depart Lyon at any time.
