Shipping and Return Policy for Corporate Gifts

Cost of Shipping

Currently, we do not offer flat fee shipping rates. The cost is dependent upon the destination it is being shipped to in relation to our hub in Dallas, TX. Nearby states will have a ground shipping option whereas states that are far East, North, and West will need to be shipped either 2nd Day Air or Overnight (depending on time of year.) In consideration of the sensitivity of the product, we do not allow our chocolates in transit for longer than 48 hours.

Returned Shipment Policy

If your package is returned to our facility, we will follow up with UPS to determine the reason for its return. Packages can be returned for wrong address information, recipient has moved or the recipient can refuse to accept the package upon delivery.

Once the reason for return is determined, we will contact the client to see if they would like to purchase a new box + shipping to send back to the recipient assuming address information has been updated. Due to the delicacy of our chocolates, we cannot send the same box of chocolates twice.

Kate Weiser Chocolate will cover the cost only if the reason for return is due to incorrect input of the information given on a shipping label. If the reason for return is through the direct fault of UPS, we will issue a refund for the cost of shipping for that package on their behalf.

In consideration of this, we humbly ask all our corporate clients to double check their address information before submitting to us.

Damaged Packages

We work hard to prevent any damage during transit by packing each box carefully, however, once the products leave our store, any damage that may occur is out of our hands.

Kate Weiser Chocolate cannot guarantee refunds for damaged packages. Each issue we are made aware of is considered on a case by case basis. Please alert our corporate department regarding any damage within a timely fashion. Since we ship delicate food products that have a shelf-life, no replacements or refunds will be considered more than 3 business days after delivery – so please open and inspect your packages promptly.

Additionally, we are not responsible for shipping delays due to weather conditions that are beyond the control of Kate Weiser Chocolate or UPS.

Holiday Shipping 

Kate Weiser Chocolate does not ship out the following days:

  • The day before Thanksgiving
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • New Years Eve
  • New Years Day

Because we ship such a sensitive product, we do not allow our boxes in transit for more than two business days. Considering this, we ship 2nd Day Air every Monday thru Wednesday and ground packages Monday – Thursday. We will not ship any of our boxes later than Thursday since they would be held in a UPS facility over the weekend.

If you are a holiday client, please keep in mind that Christmas is on Tuesday, December 25th 2018. If you would like your holiday gifts to be received before Christmas, they will need to be shipped out no later than December 19th 2018.
